It is a real privilege to be the Headteacher at Baslow St. Anne’s Church of England Primary School. We strongly support one another and work closely as a team, believing that our children and staff should lead ‘a life in all its fullness’, nurturing our vision of growing healthy minds and hearts together. It is vitally important that everybody feels safe, confident and happy in our school community; being respectful citizens in and out of school and nurturing our Christian values that underpin all that we do. We ensure this is in place to enable every child to achieve their full potential and be prepared for their next step in life.

Baslow St Anne’s is a thriving school where children are nurtured and inspired to learn in a rich and stimulating environment. We are passionate about developing an enthusiasm for learning, striving for academic excellence, confident learners and wanting our children to engage with the natural awe and wonder of the world around them. To be inspired to be inquisitive, independent learners and providing a solid foundation for learning now and into the future. We underpin all of what we do with our values: respect, kindness and diversity, alongside supporting mental wellbeing for our children and staff.

Our Christian values at Baslow St Anne’s drive forward high expectations of our children and staff to behave in a manner that is respectful and inclusive of others; being polite, kind, considerate and courteous at all times, building a strong healthy ethos that runs throughout the school.

We have an enriched curriculum encouraging a love of learning across all subject areas; further supported by extra-curricular activities in art, sport, music, singing, computing, STEM, science, debating, enterprise, maths, Judo, Zumba and more!

It is a whole team effort at Baslow St Anne’s – including an open relationship with our children, staff, parents, carers, governors, church and the community. We work hard to ensure that our children leave our school in Year 6 as confident, happy individuals, supported with their physical and mental health; being well prepared for the next exciting stage in their learning and their development. We are extremely proud that we achieved outstanding from our recent Ofsted inspection, in the areas of personal development and behaviour.
