DT Day - The whole of class 2 enjoyed a full day of design and making today. Our inspiration was taken from our India topic and the kite flying festival that is held in India each year. We have gone from making our own design books, to thinking about design and best materials to use, to then making the kites and testing them outdoors. Thursday 6th May 2021

Art - We have been looking at the work of Richard Long and making our own paintings inspired by his style. We thought about pattern in our sketchbooks then went outside to create mud paintings using those natural shapes and pattern that inspired his artwork. Friday 30th April 2021

Maths This Week

This week we would like you to think about fractions.

We have posted some worksheets for you but you could also impress everyone at home by making fractions with things at home.

Cut a pizza into thirds year 2 or show a grown up what half of a  cake would look like year 1. Maybe you could use playdough and split pretend cakes into different fractions?

Have fun and let us know what you get up to on Class Dojo!
